Physical logistics
Inspection, reconditioning & recovery of your returns
Need
Inspection, repair, refurbishment
Sofas, wardrobes, mattresses… bulky items are among the most difficult to handle: they do not cope well with the rigours of transport, and their incompatibility with standard distribution channels leads to a high wastage rate, sometimes exacerbated by unsuitable original packaging. These are also high-value items, often costing several hundred euros each, which makes every loss all the more costly.
But this loss of value is not inevitable. The worst-case scenario is still an intact product returned in packaging that is too damaged to be put back on sale: this is where the ability to repackage items carefully – and sometimes carry out minor repairs – becomes crucial to ensuring they remain in ‘first-choice’ condition.
You need a partner who manages the entire physical handling process, from transport to recovery, to turn every bulky return into recovered value rather than a cost incurred.
Solution
Controlled Physical Treatment In 3 Key Steps
We have designed our logistics service to preserve the value of every bulky return, from the selection of the carrier right through to the item being put back on sale, whilst relieving you of all operational burdens.
Suitable Carrier & Flexible Routing
As soon as a return is reported, our solution automatically selects the carrier best suited to the type of product and offering the best price: a mirror and a pillow do not have the same transport requirements. It also determines the most direct route via the appropriate regional warehouse, rather than systematically routing the parcel via a single, distant hub. This flexibility minimises unnecessary handling and the risk of breakages right from the very first kilometre.

Goods Receipt & Guided Inspection in the Warehouse
Every return is received at our dedicated warehouse, and our staff are guided through each stage:
1- Product-specific points to note: instructions displayed according to the type of item
2- Assessing whether a repair is worthwhile: depending on the value of the product, to avoid incurring unnecessary costs
3- Recording of the condition and any faults found, supported by photographs
This information, which can be used for your carrier records or customer service, determines the final destination of the product: return to stock, repair or disposal.
Your customers will also be able to choose from a range of returns options (in-store returns, drop-off at a collection point, returns via postbox, collection, etc.) that are compatible with the type of parcel they are returning. For you, this is an opportunity to keep costs under control: the returns options and prices displayed take into account both your sales policy and your own transport constraints.
Repackaging & restoration to 'first choice' condition
Our logistics partner ensures that every returned item is carefully repackaged, using a dedicated cardboard-forming machine. This expertise enables us to restore as many products as possible to ‘first-choice’ condition, ready for immediate resale. Minor repairs, labelling and order preparation are all carried out as part of the same process, without any action required on your part.

Clearance of second-choice stock via partner shops
Items not returned as first choice are handled directly by our partner warehouse in the Lille area. Buy-back and disposal are managed from start to finish, with no action required on your part: no items are left pending, so your teams and warehouse are not tied up.
