Petit Bateau testifies
Petit Bateau streamlines its e-commerce returns logistics with Reversys
E-commerce presents a number of challenges for businesses, particularly in terms of logistics. Petit Bateau has chosen Reversys software to manage its returns. This enables the company to improve reliability, efficiency and customer satisfaction. Read the testimonials from Marc Join-Lambert, CIO at Petit Bateau, Marie Noble, Process Manager, and Omar Meddeb, who led this project.
The dual strategic challenge of reverse logistics at Petit Bateau
When setting up its e-commerce platform, Petit Bateau wanted to standardise its returns management process in order to meet all customer and logistics requirements. To achieve this, it was necessary to use a solution that would centralise information and make it available to all the teams involved.
Marc Join-Lambert then identified a two-fold challenge. “Without this solution, the risk to the company is twofold. On the one hand, customers may feel dissatisfied due to a lack of efficiency. On the other, the logistics teams suffer a loss of productivity in their day-to-day operations: searching for information, dealing with customer disputes, re-dispatching goods, and so on.”
The search for a comprehensive, cross-cutting solution
To address these various challenges, Petit Bateau launched a call for tenders. Their aim was to find a solution that met their cross-functional needs, combining logistics and e-commerce. Reversys submitted a bid and was selected to manage operations in France, Germany and Spain. Reversys’s existing client references (CDiscount, La Redoute) served as testament to its reliability and suitability.
Marc Join-Lambert, CIO at Petit Bateau, was particularly impressed by the business expertise of the Reversys teams. “They fully understand our logistical challenges. Our decision was not based solely on the technical aspects of the solution, but also on its business relevance, which was aligned with our operational requirements.”
Implementation: a key factor in the project’s success
Implementing a new solution within a company is not always straightforward for in-house teams. Reversys is a flexible and responsive company, which is essential during the initial adjustment phase. The go-live at Petit Bateau went smoothly for both the technical teams and the solution’s users. Omar Meddeb highlights Reversys’s commitment to meeting the solution’s launch date.
The Petit Bateau teams have had virtually no incidents to report since the solution went live, and the changes requested have been minimal. This proves that the Reversys solution is comprehensive and robust enough to anticipate the various needs of the logistics teams. Marc Join-Lambert puts it simply: “As CIO, when I don’t hear anything about a solution in production, it means it’s working as expected!”
A user-friendly and collaborative reverse logistics solution
“Following a brief training session for the teams, the Reversys software has been fully embraced by its users,” says Marie Noble. The tool’s intuitive design, thanks to a more user-friendly interface, has enabled them to quickly boost their day-to-day productivity.
The Reversys solution centralises all information relating to returns, thereby streamlining collaboration between logistics and customer relations. In particular, the teams benefit from more detailed information on the history of correspondence and returned products, supported by photographs.
Comprehensive and well-developed features
The Reversys solution now meets the needs of all Petit Bateau staff. Reversys’ standard functionality covers a wide enough range of scenarios to avoid the need for numerous bespoke developments and the associated maintenance costs. The maturity of the solution has therefore saved both time and money!
“Petit Bateau staff benefit from a comprehensive range of features. This reduces errors and improves reliability,” explains Marie Noble. With just a few clicks, users can access information relating to customers and products, as well as dashboards and key performance indicators.
